The FIT Skyliners is an acapella group and club formed at the Fashion Institute of Technology, in New York City. This club was started by Krista Pershinsky, a sophmore at FIT studying Advertising and Marketing Communications.
Collegiate a cappella group is a chorus group, formed by college students, that makes music without using instruments. This extracurricular activity has been trending as these groups continue to grow.
The first collegiate a cappella group recorded and formed at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1873. This trend began to grow amongst the Ivy Leagues colleges,in the 1900s, such as Yale, and Brown University. |
